Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between Leading Edge AI, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [NUMBER]), registered office 1 Hutton Close, South Church Enterprise Park, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL14 6XG ("we", "us"), and the person or organisation using EchoVerb (the "Service") ("you"). EchoVerb is a Leading Edge AI product.
- Business use: if you use the Service for a business, you accept these terms for that business and confirm you are authorised to. Our Data Processing Agreement also applies: Data Processing Agreement. A signed order form or enterprise agreement takes priority over these terms where they differ.
- Personal use: if you are a consumer, section 12 gives you extra rights.
1. The Service
The Service sends an AI bot into your online meetings (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet). Depending on what you choose for each meeting, it can:
- interpret live between two languages;
- record the meeting;
- produce a transcript and AI notes;
- coach the meeting: reminders about agendas and replies, an agenda checklist, and a prompt to finish early;
- let you share meetings with others.
We may improve or change features. If we remove something material that you pay for, we'll tell you in advance and you may cancel.
2. AI output
Interpretation, transcripts, notes, summaries, agenda tracking and suggestions are produced by AI. They can be inaccurate or incomplete. Mistranslation, misheard names and missed points do happen.
- Check before relying on it: check anything important before you rely on it.
- High-stakes settings: do not rely on the Service alone where a mistake could cause serious harm, for example in medical, legal, safety-critical or emergency settings, or for formal court or regulatory proceedings. Use a qualified human interpreter there.
3. Your account
- Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Owners of a company account manage its people, licences, settings and billing, and can see the company's meetings.
- A licence is for one named person, who can run one interpreted meeting at a time. Licences may not be shared.
- You must be 18 or over.
4. Recording, consent and acceptable use
Telling participants and getting consent is your responsibility. When you bring the bot into a meeting, you must:
- tell the other participants that an AI is interpreting, recording or transcribing it;
- get their consent where the law requires it (some countries and US states require everyone's consent to record);
- have a lawful basis to process their personal data.
The bot announces itself when it joins. If you switch the spoken announcement off, you must inform participants another way.
You must not use the Service:
- to record or monitor people secretly or unlawfully, including employees without proper notice;
- for anything illegal, harassing, discriminatory or infringing;
- to try to reach other customers' data, probe or overload our systems, or get around licence, minute or plan limits;
- to resell or provide it to third parties without our written agreement;
- to build a competing product, or to train AI models on its output in bulk.
We may suspend use that breaches this section, telling you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
5. Your content
- Ownership: you keep all rights in your meetings, recordings, transcripts, notes and other content ("Your Content").
- Our licence to it: you give us permission to process Your Content only to provide, secure and support the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy and, for business customers, our Data Processing Agreement.
- No AI training: we do not use Your Content to train AI models.
- Retention: recordings and transcripts are kept for your company's retention period (30 days by default, adjustable up to 365 days) and then deleted. Download or export anything you need to keep longer. You can also keep everything in your own storage.
6. Plans, payment and limits
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | For rehearsing on your own with our "Test Customer" bot (up to 60 minutes a month). It does not interpret other real participants. |
| Pay as you go | 35p per interpreted minute | Billed monthly in arrears. |
| Team: Interpreter licence | £49 per person per month, or £490 per year | Live interpretation plus everything below. Includes 120 interpreted minutes per person per month, pooled across the company. On monthly billing, further minutes are 25p each, billed monthly in arrears. On annual billing there are no further minutes: interpreting pauses until the next month unless you add licences. |
| Team: Notetaker licence | £15 per person per month, or £150 per year | Recording, transcripts, AI notes and the meeting coach; no live interpretation. |
| Enterprise | As agreed in your order form |
- VAT: prices exclude VAT unless shown otherwise.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically each month, or each year on annual billing, until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Annual fees are paid in advance and are not refunded for unused months (except as required by law, see section 12).
- Licence changes: adding licences mid-month is charged pro rata.
- Payments: card payments are taken by Stripe. If a payment fails, we may stop new meetings until it is fixed.
- Fair use: we may apply reasonable monthly limits, shown in the app, to protect the Service. On Team, notetaker meetings have a fair-use limit of 25 hours a month per licence, pooled across the company.
- Mixing licences: a company can hold any mix of Interpreter and Notetaker licences. Each licence is for one named person, and each person holds one.
- Price changes: we may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. The new price applies from your next billing period, and you can cancel before then.
- Refunds: except as required by law (see section 12), fees already paid are not refundable.
7. Third-party platforms
The Service works inside platforms we don't control: Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet.
- Their settings and rules can affect it. For example, a Teams organisation may block outside guests, which stops the bot joining, or block guest chat, which stops the coach's messages.
- Your use of those platforms is under their terms.
- We can't guarantee the bot will be admitted to, or stay in, every meeting.
8. Availability and support
- We aim to keep the Service running at all times, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We'll try to schedule maintenance outside UK business hours.
- Support: support@echoverb.app.
9. Our intellectual property
We own the Service, its software and our brand. These terms give you a right to use the Service while your account is active; they don't transfer any of our rights to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
10. Liability
- What we never exclude: nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
- For business customers:
- we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect or consequential loss;
- our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months].
- For consumers:
- we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill;
- we are not responsible for business losses, as the consumer Service is for personal use.
- AI output: we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of AI output without the checks described in section 2.
- Your indemnity: you are responsible for claims arising from recording or processing participants' data in breach of section 4.
11. Ending the agreement
- By you: you can stop using the Service and cancel at any time.
- By us: we may end or suspend your account if you seriously breach these terms (including section 4) or don't pay, with notice where reasonable. We may also end the Service for everyone with at least 60 days' notice.
- Your data when it ends:
- you can export your data for 30 days after the account ends;
- after that we delete it, except what we must keep by law (e.g. invoices);
- a business customer can ask us to delete its data sooner.
12. Consumers: extra rights
If you are a consumer in the UK:
- 14-day cancellation: you have 14 days from buying a subscription to cancel it. If you ask us to start the Service during those 14 days and then cancel, we may charge for what you used up to then.
- Statutory rights: the Service must be provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
- Disputes: you can bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
13. General
- Governing law: these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (subject to section 12 for consumers).
- Changes to these terms: we may update these terms. We'll give account owners at least 30 days' notice of material changes; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
- Transfers: we may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over the Service. You may not transfer it without our consent.
- Events beyond our control: we're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including outages at the meeting platforms or our providers).
- Third parties: no one else has rights under these terms.
- Notices: send notices to legal@echoverb.app. We'll contact you at your account email.
